What do minor dent/scratches 2020 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Across 75 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD EXPLORER with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $7,000, from $4,300 to $11,400. That is 8% above the $6,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Was $7,700 a good price for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

5008 comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $6,500, spanning $4,000 to $10,900. At $7,700 this one went 18% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPLORER sell for?

The insurer put this 2020 FORD EXPLORER's pre-damage retail value at $43,128. It sold for $7,700 — 82% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 39,042 miles high for a 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 86,782 miles across 5008 sales, so at 39,042 miles this one sits 55% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

This 2020 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.
