Question 1

What do rear end 2019 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 215 recorded sales of the 2019 FORD EXPLORER with rear end damage, the median was $4,750, from $3,500 to $7,900. That is 3% above the $4,625 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,950 a good price for this 2019 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

1604 comparable 2019 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $4,625, spanning $3,250 to $7,600. At $3,950 this one went 15% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPLORER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 FORD EXPLORER's pre-damage retail value at $13,642. It sold for $3,950 — 71% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this FORD EXPLORER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CO - COLORADO SPRINGS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 1,030 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $675-$975, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 124,220 miles high for a 2019 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 92,190 miles across 1604 sales, so at 124,220 miles this one sits 35% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
