Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2016 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 81 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD EXPLORER with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $4,775, from $3,350 to $11,700. That is 26% above the $3,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

This FORD EXPLORER has normal wear & tear and engine damage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 183,851 miles high for a 2016 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 118,711 miles across 2519 sales, so at 183,851 miles this one sits 55% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2016 FORD EXPLORER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with normal wear & tear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 1FM5K8F89GGC90442?

Accepted Answer

1FM5K8F89GGC90442 identifies this specific 2016 FORD EXPLORER in black with a 3.5l v-6 dohc, vvt, regular , 290hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only.
