Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2020 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 75 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD EXPLORER with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $13,500, from $7,500 to $20,250. That is 106% above the $6,550 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,000 a good price for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

4835 comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $6,550, spanning $4,000 to $10,900. At $10,000 this one went 53% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

Is 20,241 miles high for a 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 86,230 miles across 4835 sales, so at 20,241 miles this one sits 77% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2020 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was SPRINGLEAF FINANCIAL SERVICES - EVANSVILLE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
