Question 1

What do mechanical 2018 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 27 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD EXPLORER with mechanical damage, the median was $4,325, from $3,150 to $6,600. That is 1% below the $4,350 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this FORD EXPLORER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MA - MENDON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 220 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $275-$400, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 168,160 miles high for a 2018 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 99,340 miles across 3329 sales, so at 168,160 miles this one sits 69% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This FORD EXPLORER has mechanical and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Did this 2018 FORD EXPLORER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with mechanical damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
