Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2017 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 138 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD EXPLORER with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $6,425, from $3,375 to $13,100. That is 60% above the $4,025 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,250 a good price for this 2017 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

4146 comparable 2017 FORD EXPLORER listings sold at auction for a median of $4,025, spanning $3,150 to $6,250. At $12,250 this one went 204% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a bill of sale mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a bill of sale. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

Is 24,933 miles high for a 2017 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 111,953 miles across 4146 sales, so at 24,933 miles this one sits 78% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD EXPLORER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2017 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was GSA FLEET. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
