Question 1

What do all over 2016 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 26 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD EXPLORER with all over damage, the median was $3,700, from $3,150 to $6,300. That is 3% below the $3,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

This FORD EXPLORER has all over and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 110,421 miles high for a 2016 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 118,662 miles across 2523 sales, so at 110,421 miles this one sits 7% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2016 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Did this 2016 FORD EXPLORER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with all over damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
