Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2016 FORD EXPLORER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 81 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD EXPLORER with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $4,775, from $3,350 to $11,700. That is 26% above the $3,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD EXPLORER was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

This FORD EXPLORER has normal wear & tear and right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 116,085 miles high for a 2016 FORD EXPLORER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD EXPLORER listings at auction averaged 118,711 miles across 2519 sales, so at 116,085 miles this one sits 2% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2016 FORD EXPLORER come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with normal wear & tear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2016 FORD EXPLORER from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 FORD EXPLORER was listed at IAAI as lot 46169737 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
