Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2018 FORD EXPEDITION models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 58 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD EXPEDITION with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $7,700, from $4,800 to $11,300. That is 10% above the $7,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,500 a good price for this 2018 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

1434 comparable 2018 FORD EXPEDITION listings sold at auction for a median of $7,000, spanning $4,250 to $10,500. At $8,500 this one went 21% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD EXPEDITION sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD EXPEDITION was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

Is 169,812 miles high for a 2018 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD EXPEDITION listings at auction averaged 125,471 miles across 1434 sales, so at 169,812 miles this one sits 35% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this FORD EXPEDITION from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MD - BALTIMORE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 40 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
