Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2021 FORD EXPEDITION models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 32 recorded sales of the 2021 FORD EXPEDITION with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $10,900, from $5,100 to $23,750. That is 16% above the $9,425 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $20,500 a good price for this 2021 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

1040 comparable 2021 FORD EXPEDITION listings sold at auction for a median of $9,425, spanning $4,950 to $16,500. At $20,500 this one went 118% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD EXPEDITION sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPEDITION sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 FORD EXPEDITION's pre-damage retail value at $39,164. It sold for $20,500 — 48% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 FORD EXPEDITION was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 70,018 miles high for a 2021 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 FORD EXPEDITION listings at auction averaged 85,369 miles across 1040 sales, so at 70,018 miles this one sits 18% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
