Question 1

What do rear end 2018 FORD EXPEDITION models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 90 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD EXPEDITION with rear end damage, the median was $7,850, from $5,100 to $11,100. That is 12% above the $7,038 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2018 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

1370 comparable 2018 FORD EXPEDITION listings sold at auction for a median of $7,038, spanning $4,350 to $10,600. At $6,900 this one went 2% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPEDITION sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 FORD EXPEDITION's pre-damage retail value at $11,070. It sold for $6,900 — 38% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this FORD EXPEDITION from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in LA - GREENWELL SPRINGS. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 FORD EXPEDITION. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 122,009 miles high for a 2018 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD EXPEDITION listings at auction averaged 124,917 miles across 1370 sales, so at 122,009 miles this one sits 2% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
