Question 1

What do front end 2017 FORD EXPEDITION models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 200 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD EXPEDITION with front end damage, the median was $3,650, from $3,050 to $6,100. That is 7% below the $3,938 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,600 a good price for this 2017 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

499 comparable 2017 FORD EXPEDITION listings sold at auction for a median of $3,938, spanning $3,100 to $7,500. At $4,600 this one went 17% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD EXPEDITION was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this FORD EXPEDITION from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OH - BELLEVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 430 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$525, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD EXPEDITION. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 77,538 miles high for a 2017 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD EXPEDITION listings at auction averaged 117,075 miles across 499 sales, so at 77,538 miles this one sits 34% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
