Question 1

Was $3,100 a good price for this 2016 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

211 comparable 2016 FORD EXPEDITION listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,100 to $7,500. At $3,100 this one went 19% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPEDITION sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 FORD EXPEDITION's pre-damage retail value at $6,993. It sold for $3,100 — 56% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD EXPEDITION was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 FORD EXPEDITION. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 124,095 miles high for a 2016 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD EXPEDITION listings at auction averaged 120,395 miles across 211 sales, so at 124,095 miles this one sits 3% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This FORD EXPEDITION has minor dent/scratches and mechanical damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
