Question 1

Was $3,400 a good price for this 2016 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

205 comparable 2016 FORD EXPEDITION listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,100 to $7,400. At $3,400 this one went 12% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EXPEDITION sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 FORD EXPEDITION's pre-damage retail value at $11,900. It sold for $3,400 — 71% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD EXPEDITION was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this FORD EXPEDITION from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in OK - TULSA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 450 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$550, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 214,352 miles high for a 2016 FORD EXPEDITION?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD EXPEDITION listings at auction averaged 122,167 miles across 205 sales, so at 214,352 miles this one sits 75% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This FORD EXPEDITION has minor dent/scratches and normal wear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
