Question 1

What do rear end 2017 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 190 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD ESCAPE with rear end damage, the median was $3,675, from $3,050 to $5,300. That is 1% below the $3,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this FORD ESCAPE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in OK - OKLAHOMA CITY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 450 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$550, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 202,158 miles high for a 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 78,191 miles across 1878 sales, so at 202,158 miles this one sits 159% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This FORD ESCAPE has rear end and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Who sold this 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was FIRST UNITED BANK. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
