Question 1

What do top/roof 2017 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 16 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD ESCAPE with top/roof damage, the median was $3,750, from $3,150 to $6,700. That is 3% above the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,650 a good price for this 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

1876 comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,650, spanning $3,050 to $5,900. At $3,650 this one went exactly at that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD ESCAPE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 FORD ESCAPE's pre-damage retail value at $11,830. It sold for $3,650 — 69% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this FORD ESCAPE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in GA - SAVANNAH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 250 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 58,787 miles high for a 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 78,104 miles across 1876 sales, so at 58,787 miles this one sits 25% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
