Question 1

Was $6,625 a good price for this 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

1874 comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,700, spanning $3,050 to $5,900. At $6,625 this one went 79% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD ESCAPE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 FORD ESCAPE's pre-damage retail value at $9,350. It sold for $6,625 — 29% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clear (alabama) mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a clear (alabama). A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

This FORD ESCAPE has none and damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "Run & Drive" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

Run & Drive is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD ESCAPE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 101,751 miles high for a 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 78,256 miles across 1874 sales, so at 101,751 miles this one sits 30% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
