Question 1

What do normal wear 2016 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 22 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD ESCAPE with normal wear damage, the median was $3,500, from $3,100 to $4,500. That is 4% below the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,400 a good price for this 2016 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

405 comparable 2016 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,650, spanning $3,050 to $5,400. At $5,400 this one went 48% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a cert of title mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a cert of title. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 FORD ESCAPE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this FORD ESCAPE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in PA - PITTSBURGH SOUTH. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 150 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 117,408 miles high for a 2016 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 81,205 miles across 405 sales, so at 117,408 miles this one sits 45% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
