Question 1

What do front end 2020 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1522 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD ESCAPE with front end damage, the median was $4,200, from $3,150 to $6,900. That is 5% below the $4,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,825 a good price for this 2020 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

4194 comparable 2020 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,400, spanning $3,200 to $7,700. At $4,825 this one went 10% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD ESCAPE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

Is 25,162 miles high for a 2020 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 67,125 miles across 4194 sales, so at 25,162 miles this one sits 63% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

How far is this FORD ESCAPE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in VA - MONTVALE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Norfolk, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Who sold this 2020 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ERIE INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
