Question 1

Was $7,675 a good price for this 2020 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

4230 comparable 2020 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,400, spanning $3,200 to $7,700. At $7,675 this one went 74% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD ESCAPE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2020 FORD ESCAPE's pre-damage retail value at $15,700. It sold for $7,675 — 51% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a clear (north carolina) mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2020 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a clear (north carolina). A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

This FORD ESCAPE has mechanical and unknown damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 72,448 miles high for a 2020 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 67,448 miles across 4230 sales, so at 72,448 miles this one sits 7% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2020 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was Emkay. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
