Question 1

Was $3,100 a good price for this 2019 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

1877 comparable 2019 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,950, spanning $3,100 to $7,200. At $3,100 this one went 22% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This FORD ESCAPE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD ESCAPE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 FORD ESCAPE's pre-damage retail value at $15,010. It sold for $3,100 — 79% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2019 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 FORD ESCAPE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 183,602 miles high for a 2019 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 66,256 miles across 1877 sales, so at 183,602 miles this one sits 177% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
