Question 1

What do top/roof 2018 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 15 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD ESCAPE with top/roof damage, the median was $3,300, from $3,050 to $5,000. That is 14% below the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

How far is this FORD ESCAPE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NC - LA GRANGE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 280 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 FORD ESCAPE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 82,980 miles high for a 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 72,944 miles across 2033 sales, so at 82,980 miles this one sits 14% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2018 FORD ESCAPE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with top/roof damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 1FMCU9GD8JUD00650?

Accepted Answer

1FMCU9GD8JUD00650 identifies this specific 2018 FORD ESCAPE in charcoal with a 1.5l 4 engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
