Question 1

What do mechanical 2018 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 71 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD ESCAPE with mechanical damage, the median was $4,350, from $3,150 to $6,900. That is 13% above the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,300 a good price for this 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

2030 comparable 2018 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,050 to $6,800. At $3,300 this one went 14% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD ESCAPE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 FORD ESCAPE's pre-damage retail value at $14,041. It sold for $3,300 — 76% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a clean title mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

This FORD ESCAPE has mechanical and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 206,627 miles high for a 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 72,986 miles across 2030 sales, so at 206,627 miles this one sits 183% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
