Question 1

What do hail 2018 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 136 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD ESCAPE with hail damage, the median was $4,500, from $3,100 to $8,000. That is 17% above the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,825 a good price for this 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

2041 comparable 2018 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,050 to $6,900. At $6,825 this one went 77% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a bill of sale mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a bill of sale. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

How far is this FORD ESCAPE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in IA - DE SOTO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 1,000 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $650-$950, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 35,871 miles high for a 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 72,733 miles across 2041 sales, so at 35,871 miles this one sits 51% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was GSA FLEET. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
