Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2018 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 164 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD ESCAPE with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $3,850, from $3,150 to $5,800. That is level with the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,000 a good price for this 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

2033 comparable 2018 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,050 to $6,900. At $5,000 this one went 30% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a certificate of title mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a certificate of title. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 FORD ESCAPE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 100,861 miles high for a 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 72,814 miles across 2033 sales, so at 100,861 miles this one sits 39% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2018 FORD ESCAPE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with minor dent/scratches damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
