Question 1

What does a ns-salvage-nova scotia mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a ns-salvage-nova scotia. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

This FORD ESCAPE has interior fire and theft damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 3

Is 93,941 miles high for a 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 78,148 miles across 1881 sales, so at 93,941 miles this one sits 20% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Did this 2017 FORD ESCAPE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with interior fire damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN 1FMCU9GD0HUE98859?

Accepted Answer

1FMCU9GD0HUE98859 identifies this specific 2017 FORD ESCAPE in silver with a 1.5l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, regular , 179hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 FORD ESCAPE from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 FORD ESCAPE was listed at IAAI as lot 12717078 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
