Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2017 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 136 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD ESCAPE with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $3,750, from $3,050 to $5,500. That is 3% above the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,400 a good price for this 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

1875 comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,650, spanning $3,050 to $5,900. At $4,400 this one went 21% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a cert of title or salvage acq mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a cert of title or salvage acq. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD ESCAPE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 96,005 miles high for a 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 78,190 miles across 1875 sales, so at 96,005 miles this one sits 23% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2017 FORD ESCAPE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with minor dent/scratches damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
