Question 1

What do unknown 2017 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 10 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD ESCAPE with unknown damage, the median was $4,588, from $4,100 to $6,075. That is 26% above the $3,650 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,275 a good price for this 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

1876 comparable 2017 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,650, spanning $3,050 to $5,900. At $5,275 this one went 45% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD ESCAPE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

This FORD ESCAPE has unknown and damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was Nationwide Remarketing - w/c CFF. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2017 FORD ESCAPE from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2017 FORD ESCAPE was listed at IAAI as lot 37943431 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
