Was $4,050 a good price for this 2016 FORD ESCAPE?

397 comparable 2016 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,600, spanning $3,050 to $5,250. At $4,050 this one went 13% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

This FORD ESCAPE sold without keys — does that matter?

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD ESCAPE sell for?

The insurer put this 2016 FORD ESCAPE's pre-damage retail value at $6,200. It sold for $4,050 — 35% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

What does a original (texas) mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

This 2016 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a original (texas). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

What does "Stationary" mean on this listing?

Stationary is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 FORD ESCAPE. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Is 99,592 miles high for a 2016 FORD ESCAPE?

Comparable 2016 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 81,272 miles across 397 sales, so at 99,592 miles this one sits 23% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
