Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2020 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 136 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD ESCAPE with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $10,600, from $4,425 to $15,850. That is 141% above the $4,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This FORD ESCAPE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this FORD ESCAPE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in TX - WILMER. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 FORD ESCAPE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 79,340 miles high for a 2020 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 67,019 miles across 4200 sales, so at 79,340 miles this one sits 18% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2020 FORD ESCAPE from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2020 FORD ESCAPE was listed at IAAI as lot 45688747 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
