Question 1

What do mechanical 2020 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 84 recorded sales of the 2020 FORD ESCAPE with mechanical damage, the median was $3,900, from $3,100 to $7,100. That is 11% below the $4,400 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,250 a good price for this 2020 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

4194 comparable 2020 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,400, spanning $3,200 to $7,700. At $3,250 this one went 26% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this FORD ESCAPE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NC - DUNN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 280 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$325, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2020 FORD ESCAPE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 175,900 miles high for a 2020 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2020 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 67,125 miles across 4194 sales, so at 175,900 miles this one sits 162% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2020 FORD ESCAPE come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with mechanical damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
