Question 1

What do mechanical 2018 FORD ESCAPE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 69 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD ESCAPE with mechanical damage, the median was $4,289, from $3,100 to $6,500. That is 11% above the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,200 a good price for this 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

2078 comparable 2018 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,075 to $7,025. At $8,200 this one went 113% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD ESCAPE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 FORD ESCAPE's pre-damage retail value at $13,620. It sold for $8,200 — 40% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENHANCED VEHICLES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED VEHICLES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 FORD ESCAPE. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 28,329 miles high for a 2018 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 72,359 miles across 2078 sales, so at 28,329 miles this one sits 61% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This FORD ESCAPE has mechanical and mechanical damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
