Question 1

This FORD ESCAPE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a salvage mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

Is 130,350 miles high for a 2016 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 81,213 miles across 413 sales, so at 130,350 miles this one sits 61% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 4

Who sold this 2016 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ERIE INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 5

What can I find out from VIN 1FMCU0F74GUA36276?

Accepted Answer

1FMCU0F74GUA36276 identifies this specific 2016 FORD ESCAPE with a 2.5l i-4 dohc, vvt, regular , 168hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2016 FORD ESCAPE from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 FORD ESCAPE was listed at IAAI as lot 46226941 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
