Question 1

Was $5,400 a good price for this 2014 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

56 comparable 2014 FORD ESCAPE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,500, spanning $4,000 to $6,800. At $5,400 this one went 20% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a cert of title-salvage title mean for this FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

This 2014 FORD ESCAPE was sold on a cert of title-salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this FORD ESCAPE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in LA - BATON ROUGE. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

This FORD ESCAPE has damage history and all over damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "ENHANCED VEHICLES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED VEHICLES is the auction's own condition note for this 2014 FORD ESCAPE. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 76,173 miles high for a 2014 FORD ESCAPE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2014 FORD ESCAPE listings at auction averaged 93,878 miles across 56 sales, so at 76,173 miles this one sits 19% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
