Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2018 FORD EDGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 42 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD EDGE with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $4,400, from $3,200 to $10,600. That is 11% above the $3,950 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,500 a good price for this 2018 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

1584 comparable 2018 FORD EDGE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,950, spanning $3,100 to $6,225. At $3,500 this one went 11% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD EDGE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clear mean for this FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD EDGE was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

How far is this FORD EDGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in WV - SHINNSTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 300 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 239,971 miles high for a 2018 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD EDGE listings at auction averaged 91,604 miles across 1584 sales, so at 239,971 miles this one sits 162% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
