Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2017 FORD EDGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 24 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD EDGE with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $4,000, from $3,050 to $7,850. That is 3% above the $3,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,850 a good price for this 2017 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

1484 comparable 2017 FORD EDGE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,900, spanning $3,100 to $6,025. At $7,850 this one went 101% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD EDGE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this FORD EDGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in IL - CASEYVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was TITLEMAX. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 2FMPK4K88HBC09379?

Accepted Answer

2FMPK4K88HBC09379 identifies this specific 2017 FORD EDGE with a 3.5l v-6 dohc, vvt, 280hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
