Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2017 FORD EDGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 28 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD EDGE with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $3,875, from $3,050 to $7,850. That is 1% above the $3,850 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,450 a good price for this 2017 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

1494 comparable 2017 FORD EDGE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,850, spanning $3,100 to $5,950. At $4,450 this one went 16% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD EDGE was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this FORD EDGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in FL - JACKSONVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD EDGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 88,012 miles high for a 2017 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD EDGE listings at auction averaged 93,915 miles across 1494 sales, so at 88,012 miles this one sits 6% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
