Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2018 FORD EDGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 48 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD EDGE with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $4,650, from $3,150 to $7,300. That is 18% above the $3,950 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $19,700 a good price for this 2018 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

1584 comparable 2018 FORD EDGE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,950, spanning $3,100 to $6,225. At $19,700 this one went 399% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a certificate of title (p) mean for this FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD EDGE was sold on a certificate of title (p). The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 FORD EDGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this FORD EDGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - HARTFORD SPRINGFIELD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

This FORD EDGE has minor dent/scratches and normal wear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
