Question 1

What do hail 2017 FORD EDGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 87 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD EDGE with hail damage, the median was $4,350, from $3,250 to $7,200. That is 12% above the $3,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,200 a good price for this 2017 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

1488 comparable 2017 FORD EDGE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,900, spanning $3,100 to $6,000. At $7,200 this one went 85% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EDGE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 FORD EDGE's pre-damage retail value at $14,224. It sold for $7,200 — 49% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

Is 117,018 miles high for a 2017 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD EDGE listings at auction averaged 93,778 miles across 1488 sales, so at 117,018 miles this one sits 25% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This FORD EDGE has hail and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

What does a clean title mean for this FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD EDGE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.
