Question 1

What do right rear 2017 FORD EDGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 19 recorded sales of the 2017 FORD EDGE with right rear damage, the median was $4,000, from $3,250 to $5,000. That is 3% above the $3,875 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a ab-salvage-alberta mean for this FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 FORD EDGE was sold on a ab-salvage-alberta. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 FORD EDGE. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 95,974 miles high for a 2017 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 FORD EDGE listings at auction averaged 93,922 miles across 1501 sales, so at 95,974 miles this one sits 2% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This FORD EDGE has right rear and right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Where was this FORD EDGE located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in ALBERTA - ROCKYVIEW. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.
