Question 1

What do front end 2015 FORD EDGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 64 recorded sales of the 2015 FORD EDGE with front end damage, the median was $4,400, from $3,250 to $5,700. That is 2% below the $4,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,250 a good price for this 2015 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

175 comparable 2015 FORD EDGE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,500, spanning $3,350 to $6,300. At $4,250 this one went 6% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD EDGE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this FORD EDGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MI - DETROIT. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EDGE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2015 FORD EDGE's pre-damage retail value at $15,245. It sold for $4,250 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

Is 155,175 miles high for a 2015 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2015 FORD EDGE listings at auction averaged 113,127 miles across 175 sales, so at 155,175 miles this one sits 37% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
