Question 1

Was $5,500 a good price for this 2015 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

179 comparable 2015 FORD EDGE listings sold at auction for a median of $4,500, spanning $3,350 to $6,300. At $5,500 this one went 22% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a salvage certificate of title mean for this FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2015 FORD EDGE was sold on a salvage certificate of title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this FORD EDGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in MO - SPRINGFIELD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 780 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $500-$750, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2015 FORD EDGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This FORD EDGE has top/roof and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 145,574 miles high for a 2015 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2015 FORD EDGE listings at auction averaged 112,686 miles across 179 sales, so at 145,574 miles this one sits 29% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
