Question 1

What do mechanical 2021 FORD EDGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 37 recorded sales of the 2021 FORD EDGE with mechanical damage, the median was $5,600, from $3,600 to $10,500. That is level with the $5,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $12,800 a good price for this 2021 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

1174 comparable 2021 FORD EDGE listings sold at auction for a median of $5,600, spanning $3,550 to $10,500. At $12,800 this one went 129% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EDGE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 FORD EDGE's pre-damage retail value at $28,403. It sold for $12,800 — 55% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 FORD EDGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This FORD EDGE has mechanical and mechanical damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 64,736 miles high for a 2021 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 FORD EDGE listings at auction averaged 66,981 miles across 1174 sales, so at 64,736 miles this one sits 3% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
