Question 1

What do hail 2018 FORD EDGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 84 recorded sales of the 2018 FORD EDGE with hail damage, the median was $4,350, from $3,200 to $7,100. That is 10% above the $3,950 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,450 a good price for this 2018 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

1584 comparable 2018 FORD EDGE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,950, spanning $3,100 to $6,225. At $3,450 this one went 13% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This FORD EDGE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EDGE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 FORD EDGE's pre-damage retail value at $14,437. It sold for $3,450 — 76% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 FORD EDGE was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Is 107,438 miles high for a 2018 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 FORD EDGE listings at auction averaged 91,604 miles across 1584 sales, so at 107,438 miles this one sits 17% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
