Question 1

What do rear end 2016 FORD EDGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 127 recorded sales of the 2016 FORD EDGE with rear end damage, the median was $3,650, from $3,100 to $5,100. That is 2% below the $3,738 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,600 a good price for this 2016 FORD EDGE?

Accepted Answer

955 comparable 2016 FORD EDGE listings sold at auction for a median of $3,738, spanning $3,075 to $5,300. At $6,600 this one went 77% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this FORD EDGE sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 FORD EDGE's pre-damage retail value at $15,299. It sold for $6,600 — 57% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUNS AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUNS AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 FORD EDGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this FORD EDGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - HARTFORD SPRINGFIELD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

This FORD EDGE has rear end and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
