Question 1

What does a on-salvage-ontario mean for this DODGE RAM?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 DODGE RAM was sold on a on-salvage-ontario. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 DODGE RAM. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 3

This DODGE RAM has front and left side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Where was this DODGE RAM located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in ONTARIO - OTTAWA. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 5

Is 83,061 miles high for a 2017 DODGE RAM?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 DODGE RAM listings at auction averaged 180,966 miles across 11 sales, so at 83,061 miles this one sits 54% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN 1C6RR7LTXHS766451?

Accepted Answer

1C6RR7LTXHS766451 identifies this specific 2017 DODGE RAM in black with a 5.7l v8 fi ohv 16v nf2 engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
