Question 1

Was $3,500 a good price for this 2018 DODGE DURANGO?

Accepted Answer

1618 comparable 2018 DODGE DURANGO listings sold at auction for a median of $4,950, spanning $3,250 to $10,700. At $3,500 this one went 29% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This DODGE DURANGO sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this DODGE DURANGO sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 DODGE DURANGO's pre-damage retail value at $29,888. It sold for $3,500 — 88% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this DODGE DURANGO from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - WILMER. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this DODGE DURANGO?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 DODGE DURANGO was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Who sold this 2018 DODGE DURANGO?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was USAA. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
