Question 1

What do hail 2016 DODGE DURANGO models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 19 recorded sales of the 2016 DODGE DURANGO with hail damage, the median was $4,225, from $3,150 to $8,800. That is 8% above the $3,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,800 a good price for this 2016 DODGE DURANGO?

Accepted Answer

552 comparable 2016 DODGE DURANGO listings sold at auction for a median of $3,900, spanning $3,150 to $6,150. At $3,800 this one went 3% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this DODGE DURANGO sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 DODGE DURANGO's pre-damage retail value at $13,560. It sold for $3,800 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This DODGE DURANGO has hail and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this DODGE DURANGO?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 DODGE DURANGO was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 143,236 miles high for a 2016 DODGE DURANGO?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 DODGE DURANGO listings at auction averaged 126,805 miles across 552 sales, so at 143,236 miles this one sits 13% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
