Question 1

What do minor dent/scratches 2016 DODGE CHALLENGER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 42 recorded sales of the 2016 DODGE CHALLENGER with minor dent/scratches damage, the median was $7,200, from $3,800 to $20,100. That is 41% above the $5,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,100 a good price for this 2016 DODGE CHALLENGER?

Accepted Answer

1451 comparable 2016 DODGE CHALLENGER listings sold at auction for a median of $5,100, spanning $3,250 to $14,800. At $5,100 this one went exactly at that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this DODGE CHALLENGER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 DODGE CHALLENGER's pre-damage retail value at $38,000. It sold for $5,100 — 87% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 DODGE CHALLENGER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This DODGE CHALLENGER has minor dent/scratches and damage history damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 41,750 miles high for a 2016 DODGE CHALLENGER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 DODGE CHALLENGER listings at auction averaged 93,836 miles across 1451 sales, so at 41,750 miles this one sits 56% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
