Question 1

What do front end 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 456 recorded sales of the 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER with front end damage, the median was $4,650, from $3,150 to $9,200. That is 7% below the $5,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,600 a good price for this 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER?

Accepted Answer

988 comparable 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER listings sold at auction for a median of $5,000, spanning $3,250 to $10,200. At $4,600 this one went 8% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this DODGE CHALLENGER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER's pre-damage retail value at $20,225. It sold for $4,600 — 77% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This DODGE CHALLENGER has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 81,468 miles high for a 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 DODGE CHALLENGER listings at auction averaged 99,385 miles across 988 sales, so at 81,468 miles this one sits 18% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
